Would bimax fix my short face?

Feel like I have textbook SFS, resulting in this subhuman smile. I’ve seen some excellent bimax results for short faces (a lot from Alfaro), so I assume I could expect a similar improvement?

Currently in the process of getting lean again and gonna hop on tret.

But I’ve been fairly lean before and I can’t say it really did much for my face. Shit bones, I guess.

I’m certainly willing to get bimax if I can expect results like I’ve seen other SFScels get. I’m well aware of the significant cost and recovery time.

Ramieri, Alfaro, and Defranq are the ones I’ve been considering the most. Heard some bad things about Defranq though. Alfaro seems to have the most results for SFS ascensions but absurdly expensive, so Ramieri is top contender for now but I need to do consults.

I don’t see why they would not if it is required in your case. The only reason why I see is maybe if the surgeon doesn’t perform it.

I think NHS criteria requires a large asymmetry. It’s purely an aesthetic issue in my case.

Surgeon probably doesn’t perform downgrafts. Have you seen cases where they do? It is hard in the UK, barely any case studies

Moving the maxilla down anteriorly. It is possible to do this via ccw as well as my original plan was to move the maxilla down both anteriorly and posteriorly and do a slight ccw.

Once my teeth are in the correct position, my surgeon will finalise the plan and discuss it with me. The downgraft for me will be around 5-6mm.

Isnt ccw contraindicative for a shortface, since youre reducing the height vertically. I thought this is why most shortfaces are treated with clockwise rotation
