My teeth look fine, I had a palate expander a couple years ago and braces on my top teeth. I get a lot of compliments on my smile often as my teeth are very straight, white, and wide. Although my bottom teeth are shifted half a tooth to the right (think Tom cruise's top teeth), so my central incisor is half a tooth to the right.

Would it be opportune to get braces on my lower teeth to straighten them all out? This would also help with one of my other teeth on the side (my second premolar I think) as it's oriented towards the inside of my mouth and completely misses the top tooth.

Yes, bad occlusion will inevitable bite you in the ass in regards to symmetry and overall jaw alignment.
