Life is tough and can be really bad based on your genetics

So many things can go wrong

Your kid can be ugly, manlet, etc even if your genes are decent it’s a coinflip

After taking the blackpill I’m not sure anymore if I could do this

What’s even the point in having kids? It’s all a cope at the end of the day. You’re not special no one is. One day you will die, you will be forgotten, nothing you did would matter anymore than the guy that smoked weed all day.

Having a purpose is purposeless

There is no meaning in life it seems, the only meaning is hedonism - looks, money, status, drugs, etc

At the end of the day you’ve been given a life basically a ticking clock and freedom to do what you want. Why would you ever give up that freedom for someone else?

Indeed; life is essentially meaningless. All the things you’ve accomplished will mean nothing once you turn into bones. People have children to leave a legacy, but it’s a man-made concept that is essentially meaningless. It’s an attempt to give meaning to the meaningless. People don’t want to accept the bleak reality, so they stick to performing mental gymnastics. Life isn’t a gift, it’s a curse.

Almost everything human beings do is an attempt to assign meaning to things that are meaningless

Indeed. It is kind of weird though.. I’m religious, but at the same time I think it’s one of those things that we do… in order to not accept the bleakness of reality.

Are you spiritually or culturally religious? Do you feel it improves your perception of life and your happiness?

Interesting question. I’d have to think on this to be honest. When I was young it was straightforward. Job, wife, house, kids. As it is for many. But after seeing what the world is really like I don’t really have an answer. Coin flip for me whether or not to have children.

I’m ethically religious, I adhere to religious principles. I don’t really pray, so what does that make me? My perception of life is unaltered since it speaks of an afterlife, yet strangely enough I can’t help but think it’s probably just a cope to stop us from going insane.

If you live only for pleasure, looks, money, sex, status, it feels thrilling for a while. But hedonism runs on diminishing returns. The highs get weaker, the void gets louder. No matter how genetically blessed or socially powerful you are, time still comes for you. Looks fade, dopamine dulls, and the same freedom that once felt intoxicating becomes isolation.

That is where the deeper logic of having kids comes in. It is not a moral duty, it is an existential upgrade. When you have children, you extend your line into the future. You become a link in the evolutionary chain, a continuation of a story that began long before you and will outlast you. That is not a cope, it is biology expressed through will.

There is a satisfaction in watching a piece of yourself grow, adapt, and surpass you. You stop chasing immortality through fame or validation because you have already achieved it in the purest form, replication. You are not just living for yourself anymore, you are transmitting your pattern into the next stage of life’s experiment.

And when the parties stop mattering and your reflection no longer matches the self image in your head, you will still have continuity, people who carry your blood, your humor, your memories, maybe even your flaws. You will have someone to talk to who came from you. That is a depth hedonism can never touch.

Not having kids often masquerades as freedom, but in truth it is fear, fear of responsibility, fear of loss, fear of facing time itself. It is easier to detach and mock the cycle of life than to participate in it. Creation is courage. Continuation is defiance. To bring new life into a dying world is the ultimate act of strength.

Having kids does not cancel freedom, it gives freedom a shape. It turns chaos into a narrative that continues when you are gone. That is not illusion. That is the most grounded, fearless thing a human can do, stare down entropy and still choose to create.

In regions torn by war, famine, and collapse, where daily survival is not guaranteed, people still have children. Families with five, six, even more kids are not uncommon, despite the chaos around them. Why? Because they understand something modern comfort has dulled: life continues because we choose to continue it. Meanwhile, you sit in a stable country with food, internet, and medicine, but convince yourself life is too hard to pass on because a few attractive women ignored you. That is not clarity. That is self pity masquerading as logic. The world is full of women who would build a future with you if you got serious about it. You do not need perfect conditions. You need courage, intention, and the will to act.

No, I have a vasectomy scheduled soon. Me and the right woman in the right setting would have a beautiful and amazing family but that’s a fantasy that has dwindled year by year, the reality is that life has always been very difficult for me. Having kids would be another difficulty, multiplied, very likely the final one that finally overwhelms me enough to give up and rope.

This is beautifully written. But when you see the other side - how men can get alienated within their own homes, how children can leave their parents to die alone, many other realities that I hope a lot of you never have to live through - but I did and now I have to bow out of having kids, I don’t want even the chance of going through it again.

I've just never heard a good argument for kids, maybe there is one out there I've just never heard it.

Maybe it's not an argument thing, maybe it's just an overwhelming impulse that goes beyond reason or rationality, I mean it would have to wouldn't it? So then maybe the desire for kids is more than anything evidence of an optimal adjustment to your environment and questions like this are evidence that something has gone profoundly wrong with your development. Maybe the people who have kids just don't think about it that much, and maybe that's a good thing, maybe not. Still, there could be an argument and I just don't see it, I'm not in the best mental state so I don't suppose I can even reason clealry about such things right now.

Yes my brother we will impregnate some Stacies by pretending to be millionaires and go to Ukraine when the war is over. We will use instagram with 1 million followers and nut deep in the pussy.

We will pay them child support till the baby is born and then like a magician do the tyrone milk trick after its born ;)
