As a car enthusiast, buying a car with the most sought out powered engine and higher number of cylinders and turbos makes sense for most of us. We see horsepower of a vehicle before even looking at the exterior or the interior.
There are vehicles out there used by the government, mafia, FBI, mob boss in each of their countries. This would be a black Cadillac Escalade if you are in the US, a Land Rover defender/Range rover Sport if you are a Brit, Nissan Patrol in the UAE, Land cruisers in Southern Africa and Toyota Fortuner in India.
All of these are overpriced but they still have more sales than their respective price range sports car and luxury cars. Why? Cause of the “image” the cars deliver.
People would rather choose to hit a quarter million dollar Maserati over a 150k dollar Escalade when you see them irl. Your subconscious just before turning your wheels tells you - Hitting the Maserati might break your bank but hitting the Black Escalade might break your bones too. Once again “the image”.
So my question to you comes to this - at this particular age and time you’ve hit a massive financial pot and you need a car people would talk about. Would you buy a car that’s famous for being a ‘gangster’ in your country or a luxurious car or a sports car for that same price? Choose only one.
