Would you buy a Mafia car over sports and luxury cars around the same price tag?

As a car enthusiast, buying a car with the most sought out powered engine and higher number of cylinders and turbos makes sense for most of us. We see horsepower of a vehicle before even looking at the exterior or the interior.

There are vehicles out there used by the government, mafia, FBI, mob boss in each of their countries. This would be a black Cadillac Escalade if you are in the US, a Land Rover defender/Range rover Sport if you are a Brit, Nissan Patrol in the UAE, Land cruisers in Southern Africa and Toyota Fortuner in India.

All of these are overpriced but they still have more sales than their respective price range sports car and luxury cars. Why? Cause of the “image” the cars deliver.
People would rather choose to hit a quarter million dollar Maserati over a 150k dollar Escalade when you see them irl. Your subconscious just before turning your wheels tells you - Hitting the Maserati might break your bank but hitting the Black Escalade might break your bones too. Once again “the image”.

So my question to you comes to this - at this particular age and time you’ve hit a massive financial pot and you need a car people would talk about. Would you buy a car that’s famous for being a ‘gangster’ in your country or a luxurious car or a sports car for that same price? Choose only one.

What’s the mafia/ politician/ gangster vehicles in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia? Anyone who’s from out there lemme know, just curious.

I’ll begin, if I was in a third world countries or any location where roads are fucked, Big SUVs and Mafia cars all day cause people fear you and respect you.

Any A tier city in a third world country where roads are decent or any location at any First world country - I’d definitely go with a sports car to maximise the fun (and flex) at youth.

Massive black SUV any day if you can afford it.

I have a classic sports car and the only attention I get is from old people and kids. The 16-30 range I actually care about the opinions of are really only interested in cars that are new (or look new, with private plate) and an obvious money flex.

But a Range Rover monthly payments exceed my entire salary JFL.

Why don't you post this shit in Off-topic?

This has nothing to do with money making nor success.

What else are you supposed to post in this section, crypto poopcoin scams and call centre frauds? JFL.

Spending hundreds of thousands on a car once you’ve made it and then showcasing it based on the image you want to be perceived as is as ‘moneymaxxing and Success’ as it gets. You’re welcome for making a clean relevant thread on this shitty section exploited by GrAYcel TikTok brain rotted newfags infiltration.

Yeah lol. That and tons of other legit methods, aswell as plans and overall discussion on finance and the markets. Don't try to make it like this section is useless and you're saving it with your daydreaming faggotry:feelskek:.

I see your point. But I don't think it's relevant to come flex once you've made it on a mongolian basket weaving forum. Just drive it :feelsohgod:.

Lemme guess, a used Porsche 911? You don’t get attention from foids with that? Brutal if so.

I like a black massive SUV because it’s aggressive and nobody dares to flash you or honk you cause it’s intimidating and they tend to keep distance from your car when in town. Not sure about female gaze with it tho. What’s your reasoning if you have any experience with cars like these?

944 but same idea. I’ve seen 911s around and they don’t get foid attention either, you unironically need a (modern) Lambo or Ferrari to turn heads that way.

My experience with my parents SUV is as you describe. I don’t think it will help you attract girls but it might help you keep them if they are seeing you get “respect” all the time.

As soon as someone fucks with you it’s a lose-lose scenario regardless of your response as in any situation.

relatable, but any other old Porsche convertible, no matter the engine (it can even be a Boxster), is an ideal car to pick up women during summer.

Also, to your point, suggesting you need (new) ferraris or lambos to turn heads.

I've rented supercars before and only really got attention from other men, to the point where it was annoying to be stopped all the time and being asked for pictures, which is also incredibly cringe if you don't even own the car.

Compared to that, I've had infinitely more success when I borrowed my father's old Mercedes convertible (only $30k), and drove around with the top down wearing a fake old-money style linen shirt. Especially if you're in your late 20s or early 30s, that's when women are starting to look for class instead of guys in obnoxiously loud supercars.

If you need a daily driver, a big black SUV is more comfortable and practical, and maybe gives you a small car halo due to its size and reputation.

Owning a convertible is not possible without a garage (implying a house, which I will never be able to own), it is only matter of time before the roof gets slashed if it’s parked on the street. I can only afford one car and I certainly cannot afford the running costs or purchase price of an SUV.

Car maxxing is for rich guys and Americans only, your Mercedes is literally more than my annual income.

I don’t think there is any viable option if you only have £5k or less to spend on a car, a Boxster at the price will ruin you, the 944 at least can be self maintained.

harsh truth. I couldn't own the Mercedes either, and I wouldn't be surprised if my parents blew through their money by the time I'll inherit anything.

I drive a 15 year old BMW 5series, and that shit is already breaking the bank with stupidly expensive repairs every so often.

You’ll be too old for it to matter by the time you inherit anyway.
In my case my parents will outlive me due to the current and planned drug use.

I don’t even drive my car any more, I use a bicycle to save money. Such a lie that life will get better and you’ll have more things as you get older - inflation far outpaces any pay rises or promotions.

A mafia car will always be classy at the same time, I'm going for the black range rover sport any day of the week, blacked out linen clothing, shirt with nearly every button undone, can pull all the 30 year old bitches, they won't even know i'm almost 10 years younger than them hahhaa

Gawd dayum 30yr old Porsche? What’d you get that shit for like, 10-12k or sum? I’m guessing since ride a bicycle now you prolly live in Europe where your car actually makes sense. Hope you hit a financial pot soon and get a decent Beamer.

Those F10s are a pain in the ass once past a decade is what I’ve heard. The new G60s however wouldn’t even last as long as your F10. I love the car as it has class.

What’s the attention and IOIs been like for you with the Beamer 520 tho?

The engine has been holding up well; it's just that the normal repairs that come with age, a new climate compressor or fuel pump instantly cost 3-4x more than if I just drove a Volkswagen. I doubt the newer models will last anywhere close to as long.

Honestly, pretty good. It isn't a head turner on the streets, but if you pick up a woman in a 5-series, they are happy and always compliment me on my car, unless they were super well-off themselves, and used to it.

I got extremely lucky that the G30, which succeeded my F10, looks so similar to mine that most women don't even notice the difference. Some can probably tell that it isn't the latest model (the G60), but they wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 4-year-old G30 and my almost 15-year-old F10, as long as the exterior and interior are being taken care of.

Less than 1k, it was not running and I fixed it.

Zero chance of financial improvement in my life so the Porsche will just get a respray and some tints for “outlaw” type look.

I’ve only driven my car once this year. It’s not that the UK has good public transport but that I don’t actually go anywhere except my workplace which is (kind of, it’s brutal 30 miles a day) possible on bike.
