If feel like, if the 1970s had todays looks-standards there would’ve been WAY more serial killers. It was literally impossible to get caught since fingerprinting-technology hadn’t been invented yet.
Therefore someone like Ted Bundy who attacked dozens of “victims” that he managed to lure without being seen wasn’t caught for half a decade. Only when he purposefully made huge mistakes like leaving huge evidence at the crime scene and being extremely overconfident was he arrested.
