Would you trust a surgeon that is botched?

Im gettin buccal fat removal and one of the surgeons i have been with on a consultation is very uncanny, he is 60 years old with a facelift and lots of filler. Most uncanny person i have seen in years.

He seems to understand my issue tho but his appearence makes me question everything.

He has 20+ years experience and owns the clinic but its just 2 people working there.

He has very good reviews but im afraid they are fake. Seems too good to be true.


The other surgeon i have been with on a consultation is also 60 years old, but he dosent seem to care much about the patient.

His reviews are a little worse but most likely real

What should i do?

His reviews probably aren't fake, more likely that he paid the negative ones or threatened legal action for them to take them down

Every surgeon has had botches, ask about success rates tho

With the limited information given id go with the uncanny guy

Plus, BFR is not a very involved surgery.
Further, I'd argue that the surgeon's appearance is not super relevant, since they might just have blindness to their own appearance but are much more pedantic about their patients' requests. Can happen if they have OCD.

I dont live in the US, i live in a pretty small country and would like to do it without traveling so thats why i dont do it with someone well regarded here

Very little info online about ANY surgeon in my country, there are reviews on a website where people rate surgeons and he has amazing results. BUT i have a bad feeling they might be fake. Dont really have any proof tho it just seems too good to be true

Contact a few of the reviewers if u can and ask them via a videocall or smth i dont know. But i wouldnt take that risk. Just fly into a country with good valid reviews ig
