The term "white" doesn't make sense to me. It's largely an Anglo-Nordic term. That term makes sense for the more phenotypically and homogenous Northern Europeans but applying that term to even (most) Maltese and Southern Italians is nonsensical. It also doesn't make too much sense to make hard separations between "West Asians" (especially Turks) and "Europeans" (especially Cretans). In regards to skin colour, the genes for light skin in both regions are the same and light skin came from West Asia not Europe. This is in contrast to the light skin in Eastern Eurasians which is convergent from the European/West Asian gene.

It doesn't make sense to equate a Cretan (whose ancestry ranges from similar to European Jews to be somewhat firmly within West Asia) to a Finn (with no Southern European or Anatolian ancestry). Even between bigger nationalities like Spaniards and Poles, it doesn't make any sense to claim they are akin to each other just cause "lol European".

This term "white passing" for West Asians and even North Africans doesn't make sense to me. They're every bit as "white" as a Northern European. After all, Western Eurasians with very limited exceptions are closer to each other than to others.
