In this day and age patriotism/nationalism is at an all time low, especially in the West. Most people couldn't care less about their country because their governments don't have their best interests at heart; people also don't feel camaraderie like in the World war 2 era. The irony is we are more connected than at any point in history -- communication wise -- but just as separate, if not more. Globalization is a bitch.
