Some of my posts were critiques on Xangsane without using his full name. I understand he was a controversial figure who was removed from here for controversial things. I never interacted with him, but that doesn't matter. Here's a direct critique.
Xangsane claimed to be a mix of Lebanese and English. He also claimed to be >50% Near Eastern. That's false, but we'll delve into that later. He would get prissy if you called anyone east of Eastern Thrace "white"; rather he would use the absurd term "white-passing" to refer to anyone east of Eastern Thrace. He had an essentialist view that all "Europeans" were "white" and all "non-Europeans" were "non-white". Because he did not regard Turks as "Europeans" he promoted the "Turks aren't white Greeks are" absurdity. So let's take down Xangsane.
You're not >50% Near Eastern. Lebanese people aren't 100% Near Eastern. They're not even 90% Near Eastern. One study (although it has major flaws so won't be taking it particularly at face value) put European ancestry of Lebanese people at 31.2%. One study with less issues put the European component of Lebanese people at ~14.5%. He claims his mum has sub-Saharan African ancestry. That is also unlikely. We do have a study that suggests 10% of English ancestry is from the Levant. We'll be skeptical of that, but it's something. That aside, your ancestry isn't your mother's ancestry and your father's ancestry divided by 2. That's not how it works.
The "admixed European-Middle Easterner" (which FWIW resembles Turkish Jews, Ashkenazi Jews and Sicilians) isn't half of their parents. Xangsane's ancestry at BEST at the very BEST is akin to Southern Italians/Ashkenazim. In reality, he's more akin to a TUSCAN; Tuscans have significantly higher Northern European ancestry than Sicilians or European Jews with significant Levantine/Caucasus ancestry though again being lower than the former two.
Also, for Xangsane and the idiots at the back. Europeans and Middle Easterners SHARE MOST OF THE SAME DIRECT ANCESTRY. SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE TWO ARE NOT DUE TO CONVERGENCE. IF A YAZIDI HAS BLONDE HAIR AND BLUE EYES IT IS DUE TO THE SAME SHARED GENES BETWEEN SWEDES AND YAZIDIS.
Calling Ashkenazim "white" whilst never accepting that for yourself is IRONY AND HYPOCRISY ESPECIALLY WHEN ASHKENAZI JEWS ARE SHIFTED TO THE LEVANT MORE THAN YOU ARE. Southern Italians are even DARKER SKINNED with the same quantitative and qualitative ancestry as Ashkenazim whereas the Maltese take it a step further are very near North African Sephardim and Turkish Sephardim.
How you described yourself in terms of skin quality and appearance makes you WHITER than your Tuscan brethren and CERTAINLY whiter than the Southern Italians who Middle East mog you.
