I'm a cross country / track runner for my high school, it has made me pretty skinny but I lift weights 5x a week and am in a calorie surplus, so I have a lean physique. 5'7, 130 ish pounds. I go to a huge high school so there aren't really cliques, and it has had little diminishing effect on my social status. I love running, and It looks good on a college application. Basically asking if anyone else does cardio here for any other reason than to get lean or debloat.
