I sat down at the bus stop and he was visibly drunk. He started taking with me about how his wife divorced him, his brother died, his dad is blind and his mom died too. He started crying because nobody respects him and he is just getting laughed at. Then he called me a real man and told me that I should respect my parents. Then I left after giving him a cigarette

Even tho I knew that alcoholic are depressed
But it just confirmed to me that addicts usually have other problems than addictions and that drugs are just a coping mechanism

It was probably all bullshit and fake, these guys can yap for hours just to get a cigarette or a quarter out of people, now imagine if they use that effort to work instead....
