dht doesnt only cause hair loss. it also inhibits elastin production and thus causes wrinkles.

maybe dht has some other side effects too.. idk

You're saying I shouldn't nuke my dht at 23 with fin since it can still benefit me?

"With age, the body produces more of a hormone called DHT, which inhibits elastin production. Thus, as we age, elastin production decreases and the resilience of existing elastin fibers decreases. This results in areas of decreased firmness, especially along the jawline, along the neck, and around the eyes. In addition, repeated mechanical stress to elastin (from frowning, for instance) can permanently stretch out these fibers and lead to sagging and wrinkles. "

Just wear a toupée son
Or get hair transplant. Take a 23andme test and you can estimate your follicle sensitivity to DHT.

IMO not worth castrating yourself just because of your hair.

One of the biggest copes i've ever read, more jewstudies lmfao. Androgens if anything thicken the skin, and improve hair density and thickness.

What is the source of that?

Also Androgens were shown to have a positive effect on collagen:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0022202X15320789

Rats in this study who were femininzed showed a huge decrease 50% in their collagen production.

https://academic.oup.com/endo/article-abstract/109/3/837/2591746?redirectedFrom=fulltext

Another study.

Androgens have a huge effect on collagen and it's one reason when people take fin or other ant-androgenic drugs their skin suffers as a result.

Not to mentiion high androgens -> high red blood cell count -> all the benefits that comes with AND as a result beautiful red undertones, rosy cheeks and increase blood circulation meaning bigger muscles, better recovery, smoother skin, and bigger dick, etc.

Androgens and DHT are life. DHT gets a bad rap for its effects on hair loss and prostate. But both are much more complicated and have more factors than that.

I might make a thread one of these days.

What about body and facial hair though? Isn’t DHT detrimental to prettyboys? That’s my main concern. I’ve gotten the positive aspects of it during puberty and aint balding as of yet but body hair is getting more annyoing day by day

Just do the permanent hair removal stuff you were talking about in your threads.

Body hair also has to do with androgenic receptors and geneticis too.

Personally I don't mind body hair, too much is a no no.

Yeah I already do that so I am completely hairless to a spectator but lately I’ve been wondering what if it’s just a surface treatment and has deeper implications.

I’m in a point in my life when I will soon be developed completely and wonder what use DHT really has when I will be mid 20s in a few years, in full adulthood

On one side I know about it’s effect on libido and Post Finasteride Syndrome on the other I hear people saying it’s an aging hormone in reality, killing youthful features (which I rely on).

I hate the shilling going on both sides, it’s very hard to come to conclusions. I’ll probably end up reading on endocrinology in depth to put an end to this uncertainity

But pretty sure it’s mostly caused by dht receptors/sensitivity, and not the levels themselves bro

I recommend you to just be healthy. Optimize liver, heart, testicle health. Sleep well, skincare routine, mogger diet (raw and cooked meat, organ meats, testicles (yes i said that), shellfish, plenty of animal fat, fruits, vegetbale juices) and the whole 9 yards.

Exercise, sunmaxx.

It will hormone maxx you and as a result improve your youthful features, it's a win win.

Collagen is able to promote hair growth because of the protection it provides to each hair follicle.

Collagen also acts in several other ways to aid with the hair growth cycle.

For one, when your body comes into contact with collagen, your digestive system will break it down into another form of protein known as amino acids.

Furthermore, hair is predominantly composed of the protein keratin, which is instrumental in hair regrowth, strength, and quality.

In essence, collagen peptides are quite instrumental in increasing hair growth, as it provides essential components, as well as protection that are key factors for healthy hair.

Do you think collagen is why dermarolling works so well for some people? I have gained a lot of hair back the last 5 months or so rolling my scalp with a 1.5mm and some hair massages to keep my scalp lose. My scalp was tight as hell when I first started fighting hair loss. I have never used minox or fin.

Not sure.

What size roller are you using and how often? It was about the 2 month mark I really started to see the results and it got better after that.

You hear people claim it breaks up fibrosis which makes DHT accumalate up there. Others say it works by creating growth factors whatever that means and others claim it just makes the skin better and looser which is more conducive to the hair growing and not having as much DHT there. Some people get a lot better results than others from doing it. The great responders like myself seem to be people that stayed a NW2 area hairline (with diffuse thinning in that area) without horseshoeing up front but got big time crown thinning.

Bought a derminator gonna go for 2mm a month , we’ll see what happens

I heard someone say that at 2mm the DHT gets stabbed and destroyed

that's because the surrounding diffuse area helps with regrowth while it's harder if there's no hair anywhere nearby. it definitely does break up the scalp really good. it feels refreshing tbh, especially so the first couple times but the injuries also make the body question what it's supposed to do with it and that's where the growth factors come in I reckon. no regrowth without needling tbh :owo:

Pure cope.

There was literally nothing in these studies that said androgens improve collagen. If said that terminating androgen PATHWAYS decreased collagen. This tells us nothing, because "female" hormones like estrogen are also produced via aromatization from testosterone. Your study doesn't tell us whether it was a deficiency of estrogen or testosterone that caused the effect.

I think it’s the other way around, a derminator reaches the amount of depth accurately

Where as manual derma rolling the depth depends on the force you’re using. It’s a better product all around but if it’s working for you why change it

are u serious? Androgens, unlike estradiol, are the worst things would may come across hair. DHT is really wonderful during puberty period, but in adults there is no reason to increase it in blood serum. In addition, DHT is strongly correlated with heart disease and prostate hypertrophy. "Yes" vote for test, "no" for DHT. Tho I know you're teen so increasing DHT would be highly beneficial
