i think the only way to be happy in our time is to be disconnected from the world and live in your own bubble in a way. i always make fun of mfs on tiktok who talk about living alone in the woods because society is evil but theyre onto something.

if youre an empathetic person that follows and cares about what happens in the world right now thats genuine suicide fuel. you need a good amount of narcissism to maintain good mental health. obviously dont be an asshole to other people, but think about what happens in the world as little as possible.

just work on improving yourself and do everything possible to romanticize your life. even the best lives are still bad in 2025, but romanticising the daily routine can help a lot. you also 100% need hobbies because they will help keep you away from degeneracy.

I couldn’t do this I would definitely end up on the news even after a couple years.

You can achieve this by simply cutting off social media and everything internet related

wish i could do that, im too invested into posting online and getting validation from strangers, i was talking more about ignoring the negativity in the world in general

I tried this one time for 2 weeks when I was about 14 and went into psychosis, I think if I don’t have interaction with people I would go completely insane.

thats valid, im too used to it though. but the purpose of the thread was more about ignoring the negativity in the world and romanticising what you have, not really to isolate from others, unless theyre toxic
