I have pretty average 19 cm hands and splitting wood with one hand two days in a row with a 2.5 kg axe will fuck my hands up. The same happens when I use a sledge hammer for long periods to break up concrete, or if I use cutting pliers all day. I don't think my hands are rugged enough to handle a lifetime of that work.

All tradies and construction labourers have massive hands and its just natural selection. Men with small hands just can't handle that work with no pain.

I am lucky that I am kinda robust in other areas, never been hurt in the back or shoulder that I didnt recover fast and completely. Those are the ones that fuck people up, shoulders, knees and back.

Maybe while you are still growing, after that I doubt it. It can thicken hands but I dont think you can make bones longer after puberty. Both my brothers that have never worked hard in their lives have hands as long as mine, mine are significantly thicker tho.

Yeah and its brutal. My hands are 19.5cm long which is fine I guess but my fingers are very skinny, they legit look stunted and underdeveloped, even my mom mogs me. The skin has become a lot thicker with training but zero bone changes so far.
