An average sleep cycle lasts about 90 minutes. Ideally, you need four to six cycles of sleep every 24 hours to feel fresh and rested. Each cycle contains four individual stages: three that form non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep and one rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. So a single sleep cycle is about 1.5 hours.

I got about 3 hours last night so that’s about 2 sleep cycles. Jfl at people thinking they need 8 or 9 minimum. I normally sleep 5-7 hours on average and it usually works fine for me. The only annoying thing is when you have to go to school, college, work, gym etc that’s when you might end up feeling like shit. On weekdays I tend to get less than weekends for some reason.

It’s what a study says but no shit who is actually going to sleep for only 90 minutes anyways? It’s just saying it’s one sleep cycle your clearly the retarded one

You know there isn't any "ideal" amount of sleep, The amount that you should be getting highly depends on the quality of sleep and how much you stress your body(mentally and physically) throughout the day!

That's just anecdotal evidence bhai jfl
Sleep deprivation – typically administered in controlled, inpatient settings – rapidly reduces symptoms of depression in roughly half of depression patients, according to the first meta-analysis on the subject in nearly 30 years, from researchers at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

That doesn't really prove it tbh, It's momentary joy from getting more dopamine hits from not sleeping.

Read it, Still ain't very convincing sleep deprivation is never good, It's literally just forcing your body to not sleep when it wants to.
