For those of you who are wondering if things get better with age, I have to say no, they don't.
I implore you to seize any opportunities that you get with girls while you're young. Maybe a girl is interested in you who isn't your perfect type dream oneitis, and you're rejecting her - don't do that. I'm not saying to dumpster dive, but if there's a half way decent girl who's interested in you, go for it. Approach girls you like, on nights out and such, festivals etc. Yes sometimes you will get rejected, but when you get into your mid-20's you will look back on those moments and be glad you at least tried, otherwise you will feel a deep sense of pain and regret.
These really are the best years of your life, and before you know it you will be mid-20s, the girls your age will be significantly less attractive, more jaded and more used up. You'll have to start thinking about settling down, giving up notions of slaying, but the amount of 'good' options presented to you will get slimmer and slimmer on a yearly basis. You'll have to worry about competing with your friends in terms of income and getting on the property ladder, and all this other horrible adult shit that is a nightmare to deal with.
I'm at that stage now. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone, and I've been left irreparably damaged by a lack of sexual success. I was born to be unsuccessful with women, but if I had just tried and put my balls on the line more often (approaching a lot of girls) I could've at least had 2-3 amazing experiences I'm sure.
Don't be like me and end up bitter, jaded and defeated because you didn't put your ego on the line, and rather preferred to post on forums mentally masturbating about maxillas and mandibles. Go out and live your life, be a risk taker, and enjoy it, because it will be over before you know it.
