Men want younger women, and always will. It's just who we are. However, younger women don't want old men unless he can amply provide for her and give her what she wants. She gives sex as a credit card that way. I'm not trying to be mysognistic, it's just how the pattern seems to be. Young women finding older men attractive is a cope that older men tell themselves. However, in some cases, it can be true. It depends on the woman's ages of the parents when she was born. If she was born to older parents, she may naturally find older men more alluring.

Sometimes young girls get crushes on much much older men. For example, my sister was 11 years old when she saw a then 38 year old Harrison Ford in "Raiders of The Lost Ark". She thought he was the most beautiful man alive. But these are not of a sexual nature , this is more that sometimes older men represent strength and mature masculinity which some younger men lack.

Its because historically, there have been men who are far older than the female. But this was in the days when a lot of young women died in childbirth and men outnumbered them. So a 50 year old man marrying a 16 year old girl was not uncommon. These days, women have all their options so they aren't going for a Dad unless he is excessively a good catch, and even then, she would still prefer some pauper 25 year old who is good looking and full of youthful vigor, than an old man with money. In most relationships, traditionally the male is still at least a few years older than the female.

Harrison Ford aged into a ruggedly handsome guy in his 30s-40s. I think he was considered attractive by a lot of people.
