The reason there hasn't been any significant changes in terms of a 'better OS' is because of money and purpose, since GNU/Linux p much already gives every kind of feature that one would need. So as a result, projects get dropped left and right. Very few have been successful. Here's a few that made it (including shitpost OSes like TempleOS):
ZealOS
The only fork of TempleOS that's worth looking into in terms of changes, since nobody else has anything to bring to the table. It seeks to modernize TempleOS into a practical general-use operating system (instead of it being some weird OS made for talking to God), unlike Shrine which wants to be more Unix-like and TinkerOS that has LiveBoot from USB, similar to Linux. It's an extremely lightweight cross-platform OS similar to the original as it's widely considered to be a continuation of TempleOS, since it's a fork of ZenithOS (a different fork of TempleOS that also customizes HolyC into a newer programming language, in this case CosmiC, which Zeal also did with ZealC). Here's some Reddit salt about Zenith:
9Front
The only fork of Plan 9 from Bell Labs (some experimental OS made while they were developing Unix) that still exists, apparently. It focuses on hardware support and compatibility.
Haiku OS
A weird niche OS dedicated to BeOS (a deadend OS just like Haiku). Very bizarre OS, just given that you have root access despite being a single user (as that's how the operating system works, because it's for single user unlike Linux). Not something a Linux user would be used to.
Those are the least tranny-infested projects out there right now. Microsoft is tranny'd. Apple is tranny'd. Linux? Ran by a cuck named Linus Torvalds. Gentoo? Ran by a jewish pedophile named Richard Stallman. BSD? Tranny'd long before the other two (see Randi Harper for that).
Anything else trannies haven't ruined yet? They're the biggest menace in the tech world.
