Is zygomatic training just cope or a good softmax?

It depends on what you mean by "training". Either way, it's cope.

If you meant massaging the area to release fluid or whatever, very little scientific backing, it may have a relaxing effect which may indirectly contribute to improving your face, but as far as I'm aware there's no scientifically backed benefit to this.

If you mean training as in facial exercises or whatever, that's the biggest cope you can do. Your zygomas are 99.9999% determined by your underlying bone structure, not soft tissue or muscle around the area, even then, you can't "train" your facial muscles and see any results, it's simply their physiology that makes that impossible.

Even for "lymphatic drainage" (a pretty stupid term imo) I wouldn't do it, it's time you spend in your day doing something that isn't significantly backed by science, and at best give you a minor improvement, it's not very high return-on-investment. Spend your time doing things that will significantly improve how you look, not "training" or "exercises".
