Assuming the average 70 year old man has never used the internet for anything more than menial tasks
Is the wisdom of oldcels really through having more life experience (what additional life experience do they gain beyond 40?) or is it due to changed perspective or changed brain chemistry as they age?
I suppose you could say they remember life from an era that youngcels never experienced

Think about how much knowledge someone still young can attain by researching countless topics on the internet for 15 years, their brain must be like a supercomputer while the 70 year old's info is all limited to what hes seen/heard on tv and read in the papers which wont be much different from what all the other oldcels know

If this was true wouldn’t we be progressing at a highly exponential rate compared to pre internet era?

Wisdom from older people is useless.

They never lived in a world where their partners got 10+ texts a day from horny dudes. Not to mention dating apps where they can get 99+ matches in less than a week and replace your ass. They also lived in an easy mode world for housing, investing, etc. Their knowledge is nothing.

Yes, old people are quite often very stupid, specially those with cognitive decline.

The wisdom they have is based on life experiences. When you get to a certain age let’s say 18 you regret what you didn’t do at 15 and could have changed it. Imagine being 70. That’s what you can gain from old people

They got old information from a time when shit was easy as fuck. We got to get new info and level up n shut in 2024.

The wisdom of old people is largely exaggerated. The exception would be those 70+ that are still fit and active. By age 70 entropy has largely weeded out the dumb portion of the population via death or a slow motion existence in a retirement setting. It is often difficult to identify such people though, even I have a hard time telling the ages of old people, 5-10% of 60 year olds look 70, 5-10% of 70 year olds look 60.
