I show them vulnerability.
I know this will be taken badly by people here because of their egos, but once you let go of your ego, you can truly have great connections. An inflated ego is one of the worst attributes to own.
When your open and honest with people by saying things that are vulnerable, people feel a deeper emotional connection to you and also end up opening up some of their true feelings as a result of seeing your openness. It shows them that you view them as someone your comfortable enough with to be open. When people feel liked by others, they usually like them back.
When i say be vulnerable i dont mean degrade yourself. I mean just be honest and dont try to make yourself seem egotistical and arrogant. For example revealing a small embarrassing moment from your past, or telling someone you failed your driving test twice, or saying you struggled hard with learning a skill at first. Overall just being self aware but positive is such a likeable trait in my experience. Obviously dont go overboard and tell people about how you used to jack off to fortnite porn, do it in moderation.
Showing vulnerability actually shows confidence, because it shows your comfortable in your own skin, it doesn’t make you weak to be self aware of your shortcomings, it makes you weak when you don’t acknowledge them at all. Strength is shown through action not words.
