Approximately 500 people die from mass shootings each year. In a country of 330 million, this is a negligible amount. I would be willing to accept 1 million deaths from mass shootings per year before putting in any kind of restrictions on firearms.

Approximately 25 children die each year on average from school shootings. Again, in a country of 73 million children, this is a negligible amount. On average more people die from lighting strikes or animal attacks than die from school shootings. They should be viewed similarly. But all these emotionally incontinent people, who are shepherded by the media, don't get their panties in a bunch over lightning strikes or animal attacks. People need to gain perspective.

If anything, this shows us we need to remove any and all restrictions on fire arms. I would start by removing requirements for background checks, registration requirements, and restriction on automatic weapons.

Yh it‘s the same with speed limit. You can drive 5 kmh max so there are less accident‘s but no one get‘s anywhere. It‘s like a risk tolerance. Who cares if 30 kids die a year. They we‘re probably sub 5 anyway
