That's a bad way to measure forward growth imo. Obviously tom cruise doesn't have the best forward growth but to say he's giga recessed is misleading asf. The frankfurt plane is better to evaluate the mandible, and his is very mildly recessed by that standard.

His maxilla is definitely undeveloped though, yet he still manages to have a good profile due to a strong browridge and very deep-set eyes.

OP doesn’t understand the lines to measure mandible recession, the line is drawn from glabella/ nasion thru lips and chin to measure chin proportion. He drew the line from tip of the nose and took a pic where the face is tilted down to make an erroneous conclusion. Tom cruise has excellent mandible projection, he is not recessed.
