I'm getting MSE+FM+IMDO

He said he could expand my zygos by 3mm on each side. That's quite an expansion tbh. He also said FM could shorten midface by making the maxilla more upswung and forward grown. He agreed on the IMDO tho initially wanted to give me MSDO but since I want a square wide jawline IMDO is better

I'm gonna be doing this for 4-6 months and thankfully he said I could jump straight to bimax without wearing braces first. Due to my sleep apnea, I've managed to get bimax insured in the future so I'll only have to pay 20% of the total cost

All I'm worried about is the alar base widening (ugly chink nose) but I'll be sure to thoroughly interrogate him about this. Realsurgerymax said it's usually easily correctable through rhinoplasty but I wanna make sure I'll have my nose again

So your best bet is to actually sacrifice some nose for midface gains, i'm sorry man

prob a stupid question, but when the MSE expansion widens the nasal structures/airways allowing you to stop mouthbreathing, would narrowing down the alar base w rhino afterwards restrict breathing (partially reversing the benefit of the mse)?

Maybe a little but it you also have septal reconstruction and turbinate redecution as a functional-aesthetic rhinoplasty it should actually improve it more
