That movie embodied everything I hate about normgroids. To cope with having wasted my time and polluted my mind I thought "The movie was 6.5-7/10 or so." Still better than most other steaming piles of shit you can see in theaters, true. Then went to see DBZ, first anime I've watched Much more thoughtful themes, interesting and righteous characters rather than the chest thumping lobotomized gorillas featured in topgun. Even the villains of dbz thought they were in the right, and nobody blamed each other after the battle was over cause they all understand free will is superstition so they talked of "influences" rather than "evil." Compare that with the nameless faceless "villains" of topgun who magically disappeared from the magically operable despite ruined runway they "escaped" from. Bitch I wanted to see tom cruise get tortured to reveal his friends' locations, that's what would've really happened. Or at least see SOMEONE die, instead of the "all lives matter, desperately cling to life even when you're a decrepit dementia addled old skeleton, even though training to be an elite pilot is literally your life's only purpose and as we acknowledged in the beginning, you're about to be made obsolete to UAVs anyway. However it's critical you risk failing this extremely important mission just so you can go play bingo and golf with your other grandiaper friends whose names you don't remember." I will never be quick to insult a weeb again.

DBZ was shit compared to the new TopGun movie.

Didn't even take in half the plot tbh. After all that plot in the beginning I thought goku (the only character I knew) would be fisting me plot the whole movie and was surprised that most of it was just a long anime battle sequence. I can see how that would get old fast once you're used to anime tropes.

DBZ is good for mindless consumption, the battles are fun to look at.

It's far from the better animes. I personally love Alfen Lied, top tier show.

Haven't watched a Chinese movie in a long time. I used to watch kung-fu films but those were mostly made in Hong Kong so they didn't have much propaganda in them.
