As the title says, I've been on Accutane for 10 days officially as of today. So let's get into it.
For a little bit of background, I've never had especially terrible acne, more or less mild-to-moderate acne that bugged me + tons of blackheads and a slightly oily face. I've used just about everything: adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel (prescribed), tretinoin cream (all strengths, also prescribed), tons of cleansers, serums, etc. And it cleared my acne for the most part (talking about big red pimples), but I would still get acne on my cheeks occasionally. I never really solved the blackheads and oily skin either, it just became less prominent.
The Accutane tablets I'm using are prescribed by a dermatologist, and Accutane is the actual brand I'm using. The current dose I'm using is 40MG gel tablets once daily; I've been taking them at night (probably around 6-8 pm, but I doubt it fucking matters lmfao).
What I've noticed so far: if anything.
- The pimples I still had on my face ended up going away fully around day 8
- My lips are dry as fuck, If I don't apply Vaseline, it hurts hella
- My skin isn't really oily anymore (maybe just softer? if that's a thing)
- Slightly drier nasal passages, barely noticeable
- Folliculitis Barbae has much less inflammation (looks so much better)
Overall, after 10 days, there's nothing too crazy, just a slight improvement that's noticeable to me. I will keep updating everyone, or answering any questions for anyone considering hopping on.
