10 days post op genio

Great results tho brah wish you a speedy recovery.

May I ask what the vertical movement was and what the horizontal widening movement was? I too need to add height to my short chin.

Also did Pagnoni use bone grafts?

Lol almost all half decent surgeons can do a 3D genio. But how good they are at it on the other hand is another conversation
Ok don’t leave us hanging, who would you recommend?

Bruh idk. And if I did I wouldn’t tell until ive got the surgery or at least got the price locked in.

U just gotta consult with as many plastic or maxfac surgeons as possible, and find one with impressive results and who has done many many of a 3D genio.

It’s long as fuck to do, but worth it when u choose the right one.

I’m in this position right now cus I’m tryna find the best surgeon for Chin Wing

Well currently I’m planning on infras + genio w Ram by the end of the year. Only other surgeon I’d probably consider is Pags so guess I’ll see how things go :Shruge:

No unfortunately not.

Decomp+ braces would take too long. Plus it’s like 2x the price.

I want it done asap, while I’m young so I can enjoy it lol

why chin wing rather than regular genio?

why chin wing rather than regular genio?
I’m still deciding and consulting with many surgeons about it.

But the main issue with genio only is that I have a deep mentolabial fold and short chin so a vertical genio will be necessary. And this can cause a bony step off between mandible and chin.

Which is less likely to happen with chinwing because the whole lower part of the mandible and chin can be vertically increased all together

yeah when you say it like that chin wing seems like a winner
might just be way more expensive tho
idk if just some filler can be good for that stepoff

I got back home from Italy yesterday, there is still swelling frontal wise, but in terms of side profile I think that's how it's going to look permanently, maybe the chin will be slightly less taller, overall im very happy with the result and will keep updating and post frontal once the swelling is gone
You have a similar side profile to Levi Conley, get lean asap:

Pagnoni did not use bone grafts when I asked him he told me the movements were not that large so bone grafts was not needed, the movements were:
3.5mm height, 4mm width, 4mm projection

Deep mentolabial fold with a short chin means you need a BSSO movement since the point where your incisors meet the mouth will determine the lip position - lip being too far back relative to the chin means the lower jaw is recessed.

Chin wing probably gonna be vertically biased then I guess since it will then make the mentolabial fold and gonial angle more obtuse

Could sometimes get what I call the ballsack chin where the mentolabial fold just resembles the contour of the testicles - usually if you're gonna increase the height of the lower third the lips should follow

Sounds good but if ur class 2 it's gonna look weird since you have a well developed jaw but a class 2 lip relationship

I think it was cuz of the cast you had wrapped around your face tbh it just accentuated it more

The thing is I have a class 1 dental occlusion so I would need extractions and braces in order to decompensate my teeth which would take minimum 1.5 years… so it’s not the ideal option for me as I would like this done quite soon.

I was also thinking of doing chin shield Osteotomy or a mini chin wing rather than a full one. There’s lots of options that I can’t quite decide what I need….

I can dm you?

Good result. Your chin will look less tall and bulky once swelling goes down

It also depends on the lips placement, an example is my case, chin is somewhat recessed to a level, a deep mentolabial but lips are aligned, so it isn't usually a bsso case but more likely a little bit of fat grafts in that region + genioplasty (depending on the case).

I see this alot in females

It's dependent on the rotation of the chin if it's CW then it will be non existent but if it's CCW then it will basically be a normal chin but set all the way back

It all depends on the height of the maxilla, if someone who has a short maxilla does cww, he'll look like a sfs candidate even if it does align well and vice versa.
