well i did it. people thought i was larping but i really did it. my surgeon is fucking 86 years old and still a goat. he uses modern tech and planning software so that reassured me that i'd get a good result.
it was covered my insurance and mainly for health reasons because my teeth didn't touch on one side and my face was super assymetrical. my movements were assymetric but averages~ 2mm le fort 1, 2mm bsso, and 6mm genioplasty. for anyone wondering why can't it be more? i thought the same. i dont have an overbite which is the limiting factor for bsso advancement and advancing the maxilla 5mm would make my face look like a dog and make it worse.
i ate like shit the month before but i didn't care because i can't chew for 6 weeks. i was on clear liquids for 5 days now im on soft foods like yogurt and jello and i can have protein shakes.
surgery took 4 hours and right after i tried to rip the tube out of my nose and take the bandages off my face
the hospital was slow and i was in the recovery room with 7 other people who had other surgeries. lemme tell you guys, pain meds work well with the iv but after that it takes a while to kick in. it's mainly broken sleep and haze because your on fent and other shit. after 6 hours i finally got taken to the hospital to spend the night where nurses woke me up every hour to give me meds and it pissed me off but i'm glad i did because i would've been in pain and misery when i woke up.
day 3 is the peak of the worst days but after day 5 it gets better. i'm much less swollen and i can actually sit on my computer but it's still very tiring.
the results are decent but it's hard to tell anything certain because i'm still swollen. i wouldn't recommend it purely as a looksmax. if you don't have any issues get a wraparound implant.
