15mm implant too wide in my case ?

Met Defranq yesterday, told me i needed 15mm per side cause how narrow i am.
For me 10mm is the max for harmony for that 90/95% ratio with zygos

Btw the ruler is in mm, this pic is from a while but anyway.

can you show me how is supposed to look a harmony ratio with zygos?

Can a 10mm add make a visible jawline ?

Youre extremely recessed jesus and your face is way too short.

yeah i was gonna say from that pic he's looking recessed and it seems bimax would be more impactful

What did Defranq say about this opinion?
that my masseter are higher than my gonial bone, so 10mm won't be enough, 15mm would be better cause implant won't push trough masseter

i met so many surgerons, some claimed i need 7mm, others told me 9mm, now 15mm..

Logically the ruler tape is precise but i doubt soft tissues will react exactly

10mm is the best what do you think guys ? it gives a 95%/100% ratio

None of the above. You need 25 mm.

Is that method reliable or is it BS ?
Taking a photo and a tape..

I think 10cm would be the best but afraid it's not enough

Sometimes i think that 10mm won't be enough sometimes i think it can be too much
10mmx2 = 2cm of added width. If you don't look better with a whole 2cm of added jaw width then it's over.

But the width alone doesn't make a good jaw, the angularity matters as well, so do the size of the masseters, the thickness of the skin and the chin width.

Yes ofc
The question was only the Zygo/Gonial Ratio here

Since my ramus is inclined to the inside, the gap is huge

Tbh honest i thought 10mm per side was the maximum, but i met y
Others surgerons since then that told me 15mm would be Fit.
How reliable this tape ruler mesurement is ? That is the question

Here it was a 9mm estimation of surgerons and it's already like à 98% ratio

Take a shot.

Design is important but at the end of the day you won't know unless you try.

My final insight on this subject is : better to undershoot a bit and complete with fillers than go overboad and ending up botched plus removing the comical implants that would have streched the soft tissues.

Surgeron you met also told you it's impossible to determine needed size ?

Yep. He can only estimate based on your bizygo width obviously because there is always the soft tissue reaction which is totally unpredictable.

Once again, it's better to have implants that are slightly too small than too big. Smaller implants never look uncanny (see @Gaia262 for example) whereas big implants immediatly look comical and uncanny.

For jaw implants being slightly conservative is always better. You can still add some fillers if you find the results a little bit underwhelming. But once the big implants are in there is no way to correct them if they're PEEK or Titanium (only silicone can be shaved off).

I got a huge boost from my 10mm advancement genio but I wish that the surgeon had done a bigger movement. However I can still add some filler in my chin to achieve the desired look. Things could have gone wrong if he did 13 or 14mm and it ended up being too much.

ideal male chin projection should be be 1mm before lower lip or equal at best right ?

Chin in front of lip is uncanny in 99% of cases
