Dunno but my experience in the UK is that orthodontics was considered cosmetic and my parents refused to pay at the time so now I’m getting £30k surgery (again considered cosmetic) to fix my deep bite and recession.

Money will at least let you not be dressed in hand-me-downs that don’t fit you, ugly homemade haircuts cause your parents won’t pay the barber, be able to do after school activities, having new iPhones and shit like that. I’m not talking money mogging but it does take some money to even appear normal.
