Already been 10 years since this shit happened. It’s one of the days that I’ll never forget. We had just left Norway for vacation when the explosion in Oslo happened. Someone told us there was an explotion, and the rest of the afternoon was spent watching news as things get worse and worse as the evening went on. It was first the explosion in Oslo. We thought it could be a gas explotion, but we thought it could be Al-Qaida or something since it was a bomb in the government building, and ISIS didn’t exist yet. For an hour it was just confusion, then the shooting on Utøya started. We were stuck to the tv, got calls from home from family and friends and parents coworkers and friends if we were safe. Then the news came that it was Breivik, a Norwegian man, who did it. The death tolls just rose through the evening, and it was hard to sleep the following night. The next day we woke up to the news that 80 people had been killed. And we knew several people who were affected. 1 out of 4 Norwegians know someone who was affected by the attacks. The next days were strange, and it was weird coming back to Norway. The attacks were like what 9/11 is to Americans
