When i was in high school I trained for months trying to improve my 100 and 200 dash but it barely made a difference. After I perfected my technique I did not made any progress. My lap times remained the same even after months of training everyday. I wasn't too slow but far from proper sprinter. Sprints are all genetics. You either you have it or you don't. Training for endurance is different. You need proper breathing technique, need mental fortitude and run in a rhythm to run long distance but still long distance is dependent on genetics. People with longer limbs and slender builds are at an advantage but ypu can atleast train for it. I focused on long distance running after giving up on sprints and I saw decent progress and now i am pretty good at it. I can run for really long time with good pace after training for it consistently

I’ve been meaning to start doing running tbh. The wake up call for me was the last time I ran I got winded so fast. Do you work out consistently and do cardio?

Thats why some black ethnicities are good for sprinting, others for boxing etc, some native American ethnicities are also good for sprinting btw.

Same happens in swimming, the white race usually dominates that sport, It's almost impossible to see black people in there.
Same with archery or precision shot and so on.
