Unironically when i had these kinda thoughts couple years ago, at some point i walked past a bakery in the morning and the smell of fresh bread and everything was amazing, to the point it made me think "if i do it, i wont get to smell this ever again". I used to take the same route everyday to go to uni but had never noticed that smell. After that point, every time i would walk past that bakery i would always look out for that smell, it rly kept me going
