I was just calculating how much potassium I needed throughout the day (4:1 ratio), and therefore tracked my daily salt intake on the food packaging... Can it really be true that my daily salt intake via food is 11g?? This sounds ridiculous for the normal 2-3g a normal person would ingest. Or am I miscalculating something? I usually very very lightly salt my rice and chicken while cooking.

All I eat is:
Oats - Cornflakes - Milk - Bananas - Rice - Chicken - Sweet chili sauce - Skyr (basically Greek yogurt)

Now I do compete in elite sports so I eat an abnormal amount of food to a normal person (3000-6000 calories a day depending on training volume) (I'm still like 6-8% bf), and therefore also sweat a lot more.

I usually eat 3 bananas a day and have been supplementing 2500-3000mg potassium on the side.

Am I misinterpreting the whole sodium intake wrongly, as in it's just the the salt you ingest on top of your food ingredients? or am I just a total moron?

I don't feel like I'm particularly bloated, ofc i have my days like everyone else, but this has made me a bit worried.

I just realized I mixed up pure sodium with salt, which is sodium chloride, and 1g of salt is 0.39mg sodium, so my daily sodium intake is actually around 4000mg which isn't too bad with the amount of food I eat, where I also get around 4.380mg potassium thru my diet.

Nvm I was a moron...
