The article doesn't describe the process of the experiment. It's just factually true that a human being cannot process anything visually in the span of 13 milliseconds. Really, unless the person in question is giga subhuman or chad, it's gonna take a second or two of looking at a photo for a person to judge whether who they're looking at is attractive, not attractive or in the middle.

The numbers don't really matter much tbh, we all know that people can judge the appearance of others pretty quickly, but I'm highly skeptical of their claim of 13 milliseconds unless they used some advanced shit to track the brain's reactions.
