Maybe because kids eat a lot these days? Back in the day most of them were malnourished so their bodies didn't develop properly. Now that they have access to food all the time the body thinks it's a good time to have kids as the kids will also have lots of food and survive. Or it could just be hormones / chemicals in the food idk
