14yo male - Severe glute/thigh bloat since age 8. Is coping with baggy clothes useless? Wait for surgery?

Hey guys, I'm 14 years old and I'm really struggling with my body. Since I was about 8, my butt and thighs have been way too big compared to my upper body. This totally ruins how I look. I hate baggy clothes, but normal pants look terrible and pull tightly at the back. It makes me feel disgusted with myself, and every time I go shopping I end up buying absolutely nothing because I hate how everything fits.

I do kickboxing to try and build my upper body, but it's just making my legs bigger. I know I can't get surgery until I'm 18, but I feel hopeless.

To make things worse, I recently opened up to my mom about this, and it was the biggest mistake ever. Now, because I refuse to buy clothes that make me look bad, she has started threatening to lock me inside the house and take away my phone, computer, and everything else. She also says that the only reason I care about my body is because I haven't processed the loss of my father.

I wanted to ask you:

1. Did anyone have this same lower-body problem at 14 and saw it fix itself when they got taller (around 17-18)?
2. How do I deal with a toxic family situation like this while waiting to grow up and fix my body?

Please don't just say "you're too young." I need real answers. Thanks.d

your lower body distribution often balances out as testosterone surges and you hit your main growth spurt over the next few years
to handle your mom, temporarily wear the loose clothes to keep your freedom, and focus on kickboxing as a safe mental escape

As for my mom she suggested for me to seek for therapy, but it'll be the last thing i want to do, i'll just wait and hope that puberty does his thing, and for these years i'll try to adjust my mental health problem
