Yep starving is also an option however I went in a less strict way because some people give up easily when it comes to starving

1.Put a tap on ur mouth whenever you feel like binging
2.Be distracted as often as possible (that way you won’t think much abt food)

on a serious note, just admit your "guide" is shit & not practically useful for anyone
you can't just lose weight If your baseline is high, you'd need something to either suppress appetite or starve & lose significant weight in 2 weeks or something.
Will power is a limited resource, your subhuman advice of "muh just play sports, walk & calorie deficit bro discipline bro:feelsuhh:" rarely works for anyone
