16 need help with mewing

so i have recently found out about mewing and i have had some problems with it so when i engage the back of my tongue i can’t really breath so is there anyway i can fix this ?

Do what you can. As your jaw comes forward and your palette expands, over time you'll be able to put more of your tongue on the roof of your mouth.
