I'm 16 y/o 183cm tall and around 13% bfp.

Been a mouthbreather up until around a week ago but have managed to quickly adapt to nose breathing through mewing - I'm very sceptical about it having an effect on the maxilla and mandible, but it's definitely helping me to nosebreathe. Already, breathing through my mouth feels wrong, and I no longer wake up with a sore throat from snoring. I really hope I haven't completed ruined my face from mouthbreathing.

I have forward head posture but working on fixing it through anti scalene and sternocleidomastoid stretches, suboccipital release exercises and W and YWLT exercises.

If these are shitty routines, please suggest other ones.

I'm happy with my eyebrows and hair. My skin could use work but I have started a decent routine for them.

My biggest concern is my jaw area - the skin under my chin and hyoid muscles seem to hang down, making my chin just dissolve into my neck. Additionally, I have glands either side of my neck which protrude and seem to bridge the gap between my jaw and my neck, ruining any definition. As well as this, my face looks very bloated - probably because I am gamercel who drinks less than 1L water a day - so I'm starting to ensure I drink more than 2-3L of water a day.

I think I would look like I have decent facial structure if my cheeks didn't puff out between my cheekbones and my lower jaw.

I'm a complete newbie to all this and any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I think we have somewhat similar issues.
I never was a mouthbreather but the submental region issue you describe is pretty much the exact one I have. I didn't have it when I was younger, but my hyoid dropped and became bigger (I can feel the hyoid bone now, when I was younger I couldn't), and I have lymph nodes protruding from several parts of my neck, including directly under the jaw. I know this because I had an ultrasound to check what it is. They have been there for almost a year, haven't gotten smaller, and only new ones have developed. My jaw visibility is still good, but it's not what it used to be. I doubt doctors will provide surgery for this since it's completely benign.

Mewing helped with raising my hyoid to be decent. I suggest doing this simple exercise a few times soon after waking up.
Look upwards and merely swallow while maintaining that position for around 3-4 seconds.
Do this a few times and your hyoid will become decently high. Keep those muscles that raise the hyoid engaged by mewing correctly. You probably won't notice actual bone-related changes, but it's worth it to do just to raise the hyoid.

:feelsbadman: That’s sucks maybe the mewing will help with that but I have no fucking idea

i have swollen gland issue on one side of my neck feels fucking bad i’m getting some antibiotics for it though so maybe try that

also with the hyoid just mew and it will raise

You're too short it's over for you you're not even close to the average height of this forum, which is 6'4" (average doesn't mean good), @Simone Nobili can attest you frequently will encounter 6'5" wemen who will fog you to suicide. Try to microwave yourself in hopes of growing a tumour to reach 6'7" and mew I guess.
