I'm looking to up my dosage to 2.5mg of dut per day (17.5mg/week) and had some questions on making a solution that dissolves and emulsifies (preferably microemulsifies) when coming in contact with GI fluid.
So far, at least for dissolving ingredients, I've found that
1. mono and diglycerides of caprylic acid (officially used in avodart soft gel pills)
2. propylene glycol monocaprylate (used in UK approved pills)
3. propylene glycol monolaurate (based on patent emulsifies better than PG monocaprylate)
4. Oleic acid (based on https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4232777/ and is used in multiple studies for API delivery)
5. MCT oil (standard in the forum)

Now the first 3 are hard to procure (especially without pharma contacts).
But oleic acid is generally available and following the reference study results in good solubility compared to MCT oil.
Oleic acid does emulsify better when coming in contact with bile salts.
Questions
1. I'm thinking of preparing using the following method. Do you think this wouldn't work or is worse than an existing approach?
2. What are ways of testing that this homemade dutasteride solution is actually working? Serum DHT suppression with 0.5mg and 2.5mg based on studies is very close so not a good way to measure. Have you seen the community measure efficacy of their solution in other ways?
I'm more interested in question 2 though since we are experimenters and need to verify if we are actually fighting this slaphead curse.

Method of prepping dut:
1. take 3ml oleic acid
2. mix 17.5mg of dut powder into oleic acid in a heated water batch (heat if needed).
3. Add about .3 ml surfactant (tween 20) to help with emulsification.
4. consume with soy lecithin.

Currently on 0.5mg of dut every day.

The only preparation you need is mental - the preparedness to become infertile.

Dutasteride is literally used for transitioning men.

millions of men take 0.5mg dut with 94% DHT suppression. They can still impregnate.
