looked at the thread. tbh they're right it won't significantly change ur face but it would significantly improve ur smile. you also are young enough where you dont need surgical assist. if you have the money i would say its worth it tbh as someone who has got it but mainly for functional benefit.

youre talking about marpe right?

i thought i could get invisaling as well as it can increase the arch but i dont know if invisalign is good since it moves the teeth from its arch i havent really looked it up,some say its good some swear it is bad

yes, get MARPE first then invisalign to correct the spacing. you'll get both benefits that way. MARPE is also lowkey a gateway to hardmaxxing in the future as well. you could also ask for a facemask + marpe to ur ortho if interested too.

well,the orthodontist that denied me the palatal expander def. wont give me marpe + facemask and invisalign for free,ive came many times to them to larp about needing treatment but they just keep denying me atp they will kick me out the facility if they see me,and as i turn 18 in literally 6 days,ortho treatment won’t be free,

What would you say before what age should i get marpe + facemask and invisalign after, because it costs a lot so i need to get money somehow while still in hs

if money is an issue then i would say the roi is not worth it at all. im 20 and i got marpe without needing surgical assist, but I believe needing surgical assist all depends on your facial sutures. since you look pretty young i say you got plenty of time. if that ortho keeps denying i would say change orthodonists, ideally an ortho who markets themselves as an "airway" specialist or cosmetic specialist.

what do you mean by surgical assist?

i know my chin is recessed and i dont know how to fix that,double jaw surgery after marpe?

usually if a patient is much older, they need a procedure called a corticotomy which the surgeon surgically cuts the mid palatal suture since its fused. its alot more annoying to deal with + costs more money, but you're young enough right now where you don't need it. if you plan on getting DJS, you should definitely get MARPE first --> braces (which is required for pre-op before DJS) --> DJS. Though consult with a OMFS surgeon to see if you actually need DJS or a genioplasty in the first place.

Double jaw surgery = Lefort 1 (maxillary advancement) + BSSO (mandibular advancement)

it will only be bad if you get 7mm+. most ortho prescribe 4-6 only.

hit the gym, your side profile is the worst part youre recessed so if you were ever planning anything, do something to fix that, bimax would be your best option imo.

no you wouldnt, you dont need marpe if youre getting bimaxillary advancement. at most you could get a pallate expander before and get a few mm of expansion, nothing crazy

idk i never smile maybe i just need invisalign and you can also increase the arch with it

if it is,how invasive would it be for me because i saw a girl on tt,she got the surgery and after 2 years her joints litterally started like dissaeparing idk how to explain it but she was in a lot of pain and needed to do something to restore it

you probably said some retarded shit, either way just go to a different ortho and ask for one, i dont see why they wouldnt do it for you, your palatte isnt maybe crazy narrow but it is narrow
