CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — A homicide investigation is underway following a fatal shooting Sunday evening in east Charlotte, CMPD said.
Officers were called to the scene just before 5pm on Delta Lake Drive near East W.T. Harris Boulevard and The Plaza — and found a car in the road with 18-year-old Milton Howard fatally shot inside.
Milton was allegedly attempting to rob and mace a man during a ride sharing appointment, and the alleged robbery victim then shot Milton who died at the scene.
"Homicide Detectives are speaking with all parties involved and are not looking for any additional suspects at this time," CMPD said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the homicide investigation remains active and ongoing.
