the way puberty works is that during the early stages, testosterone levels start to rise in boys which triggers physical changes like growth spurts and development of secondary sexual characteristics. this happens because the hypothalamus releases GnRH which stimulates the pituitary gland to produce LH and FSH. these hormones then travel through the bloodstream to the testes where they stimulate the Leydig cells to produce testosterone. higher testosterone levels lead to increased muscle mass, body hair growth, deepening of the voice, and other changes that contribute to a tbh more masculine appearance.
