I noticed not much has changed. It's cool for young white folks to ape Negro lingo, culture , and fashion.

Here's what they said when I was a teenager.

"Chill out" ..calm down.

"Da bomb"- something of excellent quality. "That show last night was da bomb! "

" Talk to the hand". This came from trash tv talk shows, like Ricki Lake and others. Usually two "home girls" would fight and grab each other's weave towards the end of that expression.

"Word? , Word Up! " This means something in the positive. The first being the equivalent of " oh really, is that true"? Yes, man it's true.

The Negro culture has sort of permeated everything. I guess it's just funny how everyone wants to be a hoodlum, lol.

Most people today coming up seem to have nostalgia for the 90s and 00s. I was a young person then and it was the start of degeneracy.
