Why in 2000s slasher movies, in the third act, the scene has to be a big rave or party and it has to play some cool metal song and the camera zooms in on the nerd being bullied by chad, etc

This doesn’t make someone scared of being killed, in fact, when watching those scenes I envy the people in the scene and wish I was the one getting hunted by a masked killer with my friends at a party. It’s cool.
