This is the first time a decade has passed where the point which was 10 years ago barely feels distant at all

When you look at all of the insta accounts posting stuff from 2016 as a 10 year throwback, things haven't really changed that much

By 2016, instagram influencer culture was well established, trump and brexit occured which was the rise of populism and anti establishment views which has just continued.

The old way of socializing with no phone or no social media focus was dead by 2016, music hasn't changed since 2016, there hasn't been a major shift in trends since then, gymcelling and looksmaxxing culture in it's earlier form had already become widespread

We are reaching the end game where culture remains stagnant and trends just oscillate back and forth from trend A to tend B indefinitely with nothing new taking hold.

The Harrison twins probably lived some of the biggest slayer lives and all they had to do was inject roids and post physique pics to instagram, they didn't even need the luck of getting love island or reality tv star status

Being born in 1990 mogs being born in the mid 90s in this regard because they were in their physical prime as soon as the novelty of the social media era came around and they could be the early adopters

Yeah and therefore nothing new, profound and creative is created. Everything just feels like mush and hollow and unimportant.

This era feels like someone made a digital backup whose information has been backed up for far too many times, causing degradation, chaos, and errors in the process. Idk, feels like general cultural is just the past coming back to devour the future. Could just be us overreacting too. There could be slow decades

We have reached the peak of the Information Age. Everyone is online and now with AI even people and things who aren’t real are online. People know too much, they have consumed more info than is healthy for a human (I think I made a thread about this while high).

I do feel like we are on the brink of a major cultural shift however.

Meanwhile the 1996 to 2006 gap was massive in comparison. With 2006 to 2016 also being substantial.

Music, specifically my then involvement for extreme metal since this timespan has died for the most part. Last paragraph about trends hitting hope but trends are overrated borderline on normie anyhow.

Everything is 'aestheticized' but creativity is not important
Yes it fcuking is. Creativity is the baseline for originality. AI has been the prominent distinction between now and 2016.

[edit]

Damn every single idea I brought up eventually was already followed through prior after reading this all. Great minds seem to come together at @6ft4’s content. Only bloke I follow here now. Unless any recommendations by all means.

Wtf are you talking about?

Time between 2016 and 2026 marked:

The new ethnic world

Fully tech-based world

Antisocial culture: looksmaxxing and countless chronically online communities

Devaluing of money:
Impossible to buy a house or even get by in 2026

Destruction of all soul and a 100x increase of NPCs in the white population

Countless of other shit I've gotten so used to that I can't even remember how it used to be

We watched the first half of the new world order unfold. Gradual destruction of everything good

Based , it is a brainwashing system that was developed to keep us like this.
No real-life communication or going out without checking the phone for DMs or notifications.
Modern life is destroying human nature day by day, and the world is so retard to even realise that or to do something about it.

We just have a worse version of the same base culture.

Young people were still chronically online it just wasn’t on weird incel forums, niggas were quoting memes irl and by that point it wasn’t all that weird. We had musically (TikTok 1.0), YouTube was huge and infested with gay influencers like Jake Paul, instagram, Snapchat, etc

Everything is fucking gay and stale now. Huge sentiment of depression loneliness and hopelessness everywhere, fertility rates cratering down, you get the idea

I think the biggest problem is it first started in fashion and then it went everywhere else

People started dressing like the past or recreasting the past rather than making something new which then led people to just keep going back to stuff from the past, I also think covid period of isolation just ruined our timeline after 2020 because this didnt start happening till after.

the change was way more dramastic from 2006-2016. Id say only thing we have new 2016 to now is like AI

As the internet matures society will approach a low entropy cultural equilibrium, where information flows so efficiently that all differences will be forced to resolve themselves into globally stable states. As novelty rapidly decreases, the perception of time will collapse: 10 years ago will feel like yesterday because it will be as undifferentiated to your consciousness as literal yesterday.

This is a product of saturation

Fashion trends went backwards because novelty was exhausted within the current limits of material design practical for the average fashion customer

Unless we innovate on materials, there's simply nowhere else to go but backwards and then subsequently combinatorial novelty which is what current fashion trends are most accurately described as

2016 was the best year that human civilization has been able to produce and will ever be able to produce throughout its history, a year with a context and circumstances so specific that unfortunately will never be able to be replicated again in human history..

1769256560977

That was the peak of human civilization. Absolutely everything that came after was either stagnation or continuous decline from every point of view..

(populism, fake news, echo chambers, energy prices, economy, general prices, inflation, local politics, geopolitics, social division, propaganda, manipulation, isolation, mental health, depression and anxiety about the future, social media, individuals' attitudes toward life in general and how we see each other etc.)

Not to mention that you can ask any AI to compare the period of like 2014-2016, with the period of what followed after it with regard to the above things, and how much things has change for the very worst, and how it has impacted the general population..

1769251973382

But for this, you even just need to simply type "vlog 2016 from whatever, day / summer / party / night / gym / college / high school etc.'' into YouTube and watch / check the atmosphere / vibe in those videos, the atmosphere / the vibe of the random people around, outside, on the street, etc. or write the name of a big vlogger from that period and watch their videos from back then, see what the vibe was like, what people were like, etc.

The vibe was different.. the energy was different.. the people.. were different..

1769253960919

Now when we look at what was there, it seems absolutely unbelievable, it seems generated with AI, it seems like something completely detached from a totally different reality..

When those who say now that something like this below was the vibe of the worst day of 2016, we only now realize that they were absolutely right.. :PainChamp:

Read every word

The human gradually separated from his origins
And his natural needs , realizing that if you see such a videos or vibes they say it is AI .
People should come back to simple life , hanging out together and filming what is really worth filming.
Not filming some cope videos for views.

I hate how the world changed so bad like even simple things for human is hard right now , and people tell that these things are cringe or not real.

The wrost day of 2016 was just as a normal day after the 2020's .

You could be only stressed if you are loved or liked by others not.

Nowadays nobody gives a shit , only cares about their money or how many girl he hooked up with , without even realizing what is his goal in life.

Yes it was the climax. Nobody in 2016 would have predicted the future would look like this other than maybe white nationalists and even they weren't sure if things would actually get as shit as the as the facts of the indicated they should. In 2016 there was zero doomerism. If you were in a developed country genuinely what was there to be upset about? Nothing. If things kept on that course the modern western ideal would have been achieved, but of course it was simply a cultural expanding to its maximum before it inevitably burst.

gen alpha misinformation
in 2016 we all unanimously agreed that things were shit, and things have simply stagnated back then

it's common for gen alphas who dont even remember 2016 to glaze it even though everyone was just as miserable back then :lul:
