Just a theory of mine, but time passes by fast when you don't experience many things. Because we were locked inside our houses for a full year or so, we weren't able to experience things that we would've naturally experienced such as meeting up with friends, having sex, or going out in nature. Without these core memories, time passes by mindlessly, as we don't have much that helps us distinguish these years.
