I'd have swallowed the blackpill sooner.

I stayed in online school from grades 6-9.

If I was in a physical school setting I'd definitely realize how over it is for me sooner on in life.

you’re going somewhere with this, i feel like everything going online made everyone become more based on “lookism” before how it was more based on how they felt subconsciously, not exactly acknowledged. once social interaction became heavily screen based, appearance became way more measurable and constantly compared

not really, you’d probably cope more with “social status” or “social skills,” being online at least made you somewhat more aware of the inevitable. people could still convince themselves attraction and treatment were almost entirely personality or confidence based because there was more ambiguity in real life interactions. online kind of removed a lot of that ambiguity since you can literally watch patterns repeat over and over at scale. social status matters way more in school than looks usually

cultural shift too, have you noticed how goths/alts, femboys, anime, gaming, those kinds of things went mainstream? i swear i remember they used to be loser things but now they’re everywhere. it feels like the internet and especially the pandemic years completely blurred the line between “niche online interests” and actual mainstream culture. people spent so much time online that internet subcultures stopped feeling separated from real life and just became part of normal youth culture

True, I jestered my way throughout middle school.

I was around 12 when I found out about Hamza and the redpill, and around 16 when I realized fell into this rabbit hole.

I could've found out about it sooner if I'd looked at the right content creators.

However, since I viewed everything through a redpill lens, I'd never have realized how much looks mattered even if I was getting blackpilled in physical school.

mirin the high iq (relative to me at least), sounds like you know your shit :Comfy:

:pepeHA::PepeLaugh:

did you ever see those 'masculinity edits' where it'd be clips of women talking about how they hate short men then it'd cut to edits of short men like Einstein, napoleon, etc. and how they were manlets but still notable in life

i remember the comments on those were filled with virtue signaling foids

noooo

i don’t think such edits like that for me growing up

the alpha male shit was pretty niche too (i think)

it was usually these bearded muscular gurus telling subhuman ethnics to cope with mindset and psychology game

lolololol these gurus really tried pushing pua bullshit

all this red pill shit never really went mainstream before 2020, the pandemic time when everything went online

before that it felt way more contained to weird internet corners, bodybuilding forums, pua communities, self improvement channels,

and genetic garbage freaks who were already socially isolated or frustrated trying to find answers online

most normal people barely even knew what “red pill” meant outside of maybe the matrix reference

i’m actually kinda jealous when i see these kids growing up where they’re more open to exploring their niche interests without being seen as “weird” with how normalized it is

they can openly like anime, dress alt, experiment with identity, be deep into gaming or internet culture, and instead of being isolated for it they can instantly find entire communities around it, even in their irls

Yeah, they always had short hair and were jacked too.

was literally gay fanfic for Adonis too :PepeLaugh:

idk HOW i managed to fall for that bs. i was real gullible, but they musta been somewhat high iq to manipulate people into believing that shit.

i don’t think the blackpill will ever go mainstream, lookism is a small subgroup of the blackpill but not everything. people confuse ‘lookism’ with the blackpill entirely. things like genetic determinism, environment, social conditioning, these kinds of things will never go mainstream because most people psychologically don’t want to view themselves or society through that lens long term. people can casually acknowledge appearance matters, but once discussions start touching determinism, hierarchy, environmental conditioning, or how much of personality and success might be shaped before conscious choice, it starts making people uncomfortable fast. mainstream culture absorbs the surface level parts while avoiding the more uncomfortable deeper lenses of it underneath. deeper stuff usually stays in niche spaces because most people only want enough truth to explain things emotionally, not enough to completely restructure how they see themselves or society

very true, most people do take the piss out of the actual blackpill ideology

environment’s so important, i went to a shit school full of thugs because the highschool applications for ny were fucked up during the 2020 covid era, i wish i went to a more liberal orientated school where i found my own people. i didn’t even look bad during freshman year, leaned a bit alt, probably would’ve found a cute alt gf in a proper big liberal school

most people like the idea that even with their own effort that there is something they can do, because effort gives people a sense of control over their life. even if reality is messy and unequal, people psychologically function better when they feel like their actions still matter to some degree. if someone fully believes every outcome is predetermined by genetics, environment, luck, timing, social conditioning, or factors outside their control, a lot of people would mentally collapse into apathy or hopelessness

i would be rotting with my stupid online shit, coping with shits amount of anime probably, i still was even when i was in the dbdr server. summer of 2024, i used to dig through old threads on social experiences of other users and the wisdom the people in this space have, probably where the big shift happened to me mentally. reading years of people describing the same patterns, same frustrations, same environmental problems, same social dynamics over and over kinda changes the way you see things after a while.
this was one of the things that stook with me the most
