Summary: How FUOTY Works​

FUOTY (Forum User of the Year) is a competition to determine the most popular and celebrated user on the forum. Here's how it works:

1. Qualification Round (7 Days):
   • Users campaign for votes by creating threads, replying, sending DMs, and encouraging others to vote for them.
   • Voting is done by replying to the official qualification thread.
   • The qualification thread closes on December 21st, 2024, at 7 PM EST.
   • The top 16 most-voted users advance to the next stage.

2. Elimination Stages (Where We Are Now):
   • A single-elimination bracket determines the FUOTY winner.
   • Random Pairings: Participants are matched randomly to compete for votes.

   • The process continues until the finals.
3. Final Winner:
   • The last user standing is crowned Forum User of the Year (FUOTY 2024).
   • 2022 winner was @ReadBooksEveryday, and 2023 winner was @Schery6
